I use the ftp support in 4nt6 & 4nt8 to access several ftp sites -
mostly works well on several sites .
eg copy "ftp://username:***@ftp_address/filename" c:\

However, I've recently started using an ftp site (driver) that
requires passive ftp and will not work with active - most seem to
work with active .

I see from the documentation that 4nt's ftp is supposed to support
passive ftp
eg OPTION //passiveftp=yes

but still I can't make ftp work to this site. Anyone had any success
with passive & can tell me how to do it?

If you don't get useful answers in this nearly dead newsgroup, try again
at the support forum of JP Software
<http://jpsoft.com/forums/index.php>. You'll have to register before you
can post.

The support group is very active, and you might even get an answer by
4NT's author Rex Conn.

I only ever used "passiveftp=yes" and it works. Have you tried the "/V"
(verbose) parameter in IFTP, or Internet Explorer with "Use Passive FTP"
enabled?

Other considerations are the firewall and NAT'ing on your system. A
packet sniffer might give further insights.
